Dear Valued Barkery Customers,

In this period of uncertainty regarding the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to let you know that there is nothing more important than the health and well-being of our customers, staff members, and of course your beloved pets. The Barkery has always been vigilant in our commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment for our customers, staff and the pets that frequent The Barkery.  In addition to our already stringent cleaning processes, we have added additional safety measures to ensure the overall well being of our staff and customers.

We are still open for business and we appreciate your support in shopping local with us in these challenging times.  We are fully stocked on dog food, with 2 additional deliveries scheduled for this week.  Additionally, we have plenty of chews and toys in stock for your pups.  Lastly, because we make all of our treats in house, you can be assured that not only do we have plenty in stock and will not run out but also that they are totally safe.

Entering The Barkery

Please limit the number of guests in your party to 2 people.

Upon entering The Barkery, please use the hand sanitizer provided and then please put on a pair of vinyl gloves that we have provided.

Once inside, please maintain a respectful distance from other customers at all times. 

We will be restricting the number of people in the store to a maximum of 10 people at all times (not including our staff).  If we have our max capacity when you arrive, we will ask you to remain outside until another customer leaves to allow you to enter.

Upon leaving The Barkery, please dispose of your vinyl gloves in the trash can provided outside of the door.


Upon your arriving into The Barkery, we will notify your groomer that you are here.  When she comes out to retrieve your pet, she will bring a slip lead out with her.  Once she secures your pet with the slip lead, please remove of your pet’s personal belongings (collars, leashes, harnesses, sweaters, coats, etc.) and take them with you.  Upon pick up, we will reverse this procedure. Customers will not be allowed inside of the grooming rooms.

 If you have a grooming appointment scheduled for your pet, and you are not feeling well and would like to cancel the appointment, please provide us the courtesy of calling no less than 24 hours in advance. 

If you are not feeling well but would like to keep your grooming appointment, we ask that you kindly write your grooming instructions on a piece of paper, and when you arrive, that you stay in your vehicle and call us at (978) 858-3644 and a staff member will come out to retrieve your pet.  Upon completion of the groom we will call you and at this time you can make payment over the phone and we will bring your pet, as well as any items you may have purchased out to your vehicle for you.


We are limiting washes to 2 tubs at a time.  This may increase your wait time but it is for the safety of our customers.


Walk-In Nail Trims:

All nail trims will now only be done inside of our grooming rooms, no nail trims will be performed at the tubs. Customers will not be allowed inside of the grooming rooms.


If you are not feeling well or simply do not feel comfortable coming into the store, but you are still in need of dog food, chews, treats or any other items, please feel free to call your orders into us at (978) 858-3644 and we will take your payment over the phone and then when you arrive, simply call us to let us know that you have arrived and a staff member will bring your purchased items out to your vehicle.  Please allow us at least 2 hours to pull your requested items after placing your orders.


We are not currently set up for in-home deliveries however we are looking into offering this service.  However, if you are a senior citizen, or are homebound and you are in need of dog/cat food, treats, toys, chews please feel free to call us and we will see about delivering your items to your home. Our phone number is (978) 858-3644.  **This service would be limited to Tewksbury, Wilmington, Billerica and parts of Lowell initially.  Deliveries may be made after or before our normal business hours.  Payment will be taken over the phone prior to delivery.  Delivery will be free with a minimum purchase of $49.99 or a small delivery fee of $5 will be added for orders under $49.99.  We are working diligently to get all of our products on our web site set up for home delivery.  Please be patient as we add this new feature!




We are currently planning to still have our Paint Night Fundraiser on April 26.  If something should change we will let you know!

We are doing our best to implement as many safety precautions as possible.  We hope you understand all of our new procedures during these difficult times.  And, as always thank you all so very much for continuing to support our small, local business.  We are doing everything we can to ensure that we have what you need for your pets.
